A criminal is a criminal, and therefore he has mental problems and he cant process through his head what he is doing. 99% of all handguns bought or sold in the United States have absolutely nothing to do with a violent crime. Many of the citizens buying guns right now are buying them for the first time, and the importance of firearms training is as great as ever. The National Rifle Association has 39,000 certified instructers who teach a full course of training in gun safety and marksmanship. The course receiving the most people right now is in Personal Pretection. Focusing on the defensive use of a handgun as a last-resort option, the Personal Protection course addresses topics such as firearm selection, defensive shooting techniques and the legal morals of using a firearm for self-defense.
